From 2017-2019, I had the pleasure of designing the Mills Record Company Record Store Day posters. This set of three was meant to be a series that features a different animal’s or creature’s face each year, starting with the crow, followed by an elephant represented by Ganesh, and finally closing out the set with a foo dog for 2019.
Red Button and Friends is the new character set for the Wacky Pack, the kids program at Sonic Drive-In. This character set celebrates the iconic red buttons at every drive-in that customers press to start their order. Along with Red, we anthropomorphized various iconic menu items into a group of friends, each with their own personality and behavior. The characters exist on each Wacky Pack meal bag, as well as premiums including stickers, magnets, books, and various plastic toys.
We were more than thrilled to be tasked with creating a limited edition, commemorative cup representing the standalone movie Solo A Star Wars Story for Denny’s and Lucasfilm. Pictured here are the two final sets; one representing Chewbacca and the new Range Trooper from the film, and secondly, a set of character based cups with Millennium Falcon toppers. Orphans of Doom’s second full-length album released by The Company. I wanted to create a visual that represented the music on the album, but also visually set it apart from other albums on the shelf. Metal records have a tendency to look alike, and with II, I wanted to utilize subject matter that was typical for the genre, but synthesize it in a way that was unique. Die cuts within the eyes of the skull also reveal an insert with a glitter pattern, making the eyes twinkle when the insert is removed, adding another level of dimension to the bright, vivid artwork. Orphans of Doom’s first full-length album released by The Company. From start to finish, I had the pleasure of writing and arranging the music, illustrating the cover, co-shooting/editing the videos. Album layout/color by Joshua M Wilkinson.
We were tasked with finding a way to celebrate Denny’s character set, The Grand Slams, with a new cup. This set is comprised of four cups, one for each character, and a unique lid designed to hold a character figurine. What is special about the design of this lid is that it’s universal to all the characters and can be mixed and matched with the rest of the set. The character figurines can also live beyond the cups and stand up on their own, making this a versatile premium, unique to all other Denny’s cup offerings before it. These limited edition plush puppies are an annual holiday item offered by Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, and each year a new theme is chosen for the pups including licenses like Frosty the Snowman, Elf, A Christmas Story, Home Alone 2, and more.
Finished and unfinished, just for fun.
Orphans of Doom’s first EP from 2015, rereleased in 2020 on The Company. Like the rest of the Orphans of Doom catalog, I handled the music writing, arrangement and cover illustration. Color and layout by Joshua M Wilkinson.
